The early morning hit fast. 6 AM and Cora was already awake. How had she had woken? It was blurry, she assumed her natural body clock had taken charge and turned her Sunday morning into a sick joke. But without much thought, she had accepted it and left her home earlier than expected. The only resolve she had found to her state of mind was the small coffee shop, located three blocks from her humble home. As she walked, the sun shone on her back rising higher into the sky.
She noticed a familiar figure walking ahead of her and quickened her step. "Hey, wait up." She reached the person's side and peered over at them. Briefly, she wondered if her make-up from last night had smeared across her face. But she doubted it, she slept dangerously sound and didn't move in her sleep.
